Outdoor Residential Gateway
The ThinRoute Outdoor Residential Gateway (ORG)
integrates all of the features and functions that carriers need for
delivering voice and broadband data services to residential /SOHO
customers. Designed from the ground up to work with wireless ethernet
networks, the ORG is a battery backed gateway that provides two POTS
lines, 10/100baseT ethernet WAN and LAN ports, and power (PoE) for the
associated radio. The ORG mounts neatly on a wall of the premise or on a
pole as far away as 300 feet. CLASS services are supported including
Caller ID, Call Forwarding and Call Hold. Management and maintenance can
be performed from anywhere in the network via a web browser interface or
SNMP Element Management System.

TRACER 4000 Series
The new Adtran Tracer 4000 series radios offer an economical, compact
platform for 2x T1, 4x T1, and DS3 capacity. The radios operate in the
2.4GHz or 5.8GHz ISM license free bands per FCC Rules Part 15.247. The
small 1RU (1.75” high) chassis can be installed where cabinet
or rack space is limited, and the flexible power supply (21 to 63VDC
input) allows either polarity to be referenced to ground. ThinRoute
offers a weatherproof
cabinet with battery backup for stand-alone Tracer applications. The Tracer’s low power consumption, 16 watts for the 2x T1 and
25 watts for the 4x T1 and DS3 radios, makes for a very efficient package.
All Tracer 4000 Series radios are temperature hardened and are covered
by a five-year warranty.
Typical applications for the Tracer 4000 Series include Wireless fed
DLCs, cell site / PCS backhaul, leased line replacement, protection
routes, and CLEC / ISP high-speed connections. Hub and repeater configurations
are easily implemented when required.
The user interface is a password protected VT100 terminal emulation
with the menu provided by the radio. A configuration screen allows the
user to provision the T1 or DS3 port(s) and the minimal wireless setup
required. System status and configuration status screens allow the user
to view the status and configuration of both the local and remote radios
simultaneously. Information regarding the wireless link and the hardwire
interface is displayed. The terminal emulation includes alarm and control
functions as well as the configuration and status features described
above.

6000
The TRACER®6000 Series of microwave radios provides license-free, scalable
connectivity for service providers and corporate networks. These radios feature two modular network interface ports that
can accommodate various combinations of T1,E1, and Ethernet option cards up to 8xT1/E1(16.384 Mbps). This flexibility
provides customized TDM and packet solutions for voice and data applications in a single plat-form. The 6000 Series also
maximizes flexibility and reduces installation costs by providing outdoor-mounted radio options. In installations with long distances
between the antenna and user interface, equipment costs can be drastically reduced by
mounting the outdoor unit (ODU) up to 600 feet (180meters) away from the indoor unit
(IDU) using a single 1/2-inch coaxial cable. TRACER radios provide carrier class
point-to-point connectivity up to thirty miles in either the 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz license-free ISM bands.

WI-LAN
VIP 110-24
Wi-LAN is an innovator in wireless data communications, specializing
in high-speed Internet access, LAN/WAN extension, and broadband wireless
access. The
VIP 110-24 is an outdoor unit offering 8Mbps of effective throughput and
patented wireless VINE technology to create an anypoint-to-multipoint
system. The VINE technology and upstream
and downstream antenna ports on every radio allow any unit to
be configured as a root (base station),
leaf (customer premise), or repeater node in the network. The
repeater can also function as a customer premise
unit, minimizing the cost of a repeater location. The ability
to use a CPE location as a repeater for additional downstream subscribers offers a simple solution for
overcoming line-of-sight problems.
Built-in data scrambling disguises the data traveling across the wireless
link for guaranteed security. The Ethernet connection is a RJ-45 jack on the indoor
power inserter that powers the outdoor radio through the Cat 5 data
cable. Each radio can be configured for
different min/max throughputs, limiting the bandwidth a particular subscriber
can use, and allowing tiered service plans/rates to be offered.

Motorola Canopy
Systems
- The Canopy wireless broadband system
allows you to leverage powerful radio technology to provide high-speed
access. Canopy wireless technology has proven itself to be one of the
industry’s most reliable solutions for extending networks and expanding
services. Operators all over the world are taking advantage of the
system’s exceptionally low equipment and deployment costs to reach more
customers more rapidly and to offer new services, grow revenues and
increase profitability.
-
- The Canopy platform is built to the
exacting quality standards the industry demands. It provides the
carrier-grade toughness, high performance, scalability and ease-of-use
to extend coverage, expand services, improve security and increase
return on investment (ROI). And it does so without significant
investment in infrastructure, subscriber equipment, RF licenses or
deployment expenses.
-
- The basic building blocks of the
Canopy system are compact, easy to handle, simple to install and
unobtrusive. The Canopy AP cluster includes the Access Point (AP) module
and the Cluster Management Module (CMM). The Canopy
- Backhaul (BH) module delivers an
Internet connection to your AP Cluster from a remote location. Also
available is the Bandwidth and Authentication Manager (BAM) which allows
operators to vary the bandwidth to individual users. Each
- AP unit can serve up to 200
Subscriber Modules (SM).
-
- Intelligent protocols streamline
the deployment and operation of wireless Canopy networks of all sizes. A
simple network design allows the system to complement your existing
network, and makes it exceptionally easy to install. There is no need to
run overhead or in-ground wire, install microwave or software. The
equipment is intuitive and efficient, providing built-in installation
and deployment assistance that makes it faster to get up and running...
often in a matter of hours or days instead of weeks or months.
-
- When your capacity needs increase,
the Canopy solution is scalable to accommodate changing requirements,
wider
- geographic areas, larger user
populations and higher traffic volumes. Thanks to the systems high
tolerance for interference and its directional antennas, adding new
transmitters creates more capacity not more interference.
